Asphalt Depth Gauge is used to measure asphalt thickness measurements quickly and accurately in inches.
Depth measurements up to 11.75in (298mm) in 0.25in increments can be made from the back of the paver or curbside with no need to step directly on hot asphalt. The depth rod doesn’t pull on asphalt when retracted and leaves a small hole easily closed by a roller.
The storage bracket may be mounted directly to the paver or pickup truck bed and holds the gauge securely in place with a spring clamp and PVC cup.
The gauge body is all-aluminum construction that is 38in (965mm) in total length with a 25in (635mm) long, 1.25in (32mm) dia. anodized barrel. 3in (76mm) diameter foot ensures steady, accurate measurements. The steel depth probe is 0.25in (6.3mm) in diameter and 12in (304.8mm) long. The hole for lubricating oil is in the barrel. The gauge weight is 2lb (1kg).
