For applications requiring enhanced accuracy or documentation of test results, Verification measurements of a specified number of openings are performed on Compliance Sieves to upgrade to ASTM E11 Inspection grade. Automatic scanning of the sieve by a computerized NIST traceable optical comparator produces a statistical analysis backed by documentation.
After Verification to Inspection Grade, there is a 99% statistical confidence level that the standard deviation of these openings is within the maximum allowed by ASTM or ISO. Verification is a good option when accuracy and repeatability are critical and must be documented.
To order Verification with new sieves, see ASTM Test Sieves or ISO Test Sieves. Verification (Reverification) is also available for used sieves. Sieves with backing cloth installed cannot be Verified.
