Gilson Test Sieve Reverification Services confirm that your sieves continue to meet ASTM E11 specifications while they are still in service. Once your sieves are shipped to our Verification Laboratory, the process is identical to the Verification of New Sieves. Gilson will individually measure the specified number of openings in each test sieve on a highly accurate optical comparator with NIST traceability. We repackage the sieves and send them back to you along with a detailed statistical analysis of the measurements a Verification Report to document each sieve’s compliance. ASTM E11 Inspection Test Sieve Reverification individually measures a specified number of openings in each assembled sieve. Documentation verifies the measurements and a statistical analysis states a confidence level of 99% that the standard deviation of openings meets ASTM requirements. Inspection Grade Test Sieves are a good option when documentation of accuracy and repeatability are critical.
ASTM E11 Calibration Test Sieve Reverification involves measuring about twice as many openings as Inspection Sieves. Accompanying documentation includes NIST traceable measurements and statistical analysis results showing a confidence level of 99.73% that the opening’s standard deviation is within the maximum allowed by ASTM. Calibration Sieves are the best choice when a very high degree of accuracy is required.
