Continuous-Flow Screen is extremely versatile and ideal for laboratories where multiple separation jobs are encountered. The machine is practical and efficient for small-scale scalping, mass separation, and continuous-feed production applications with coarse-sized materials.
The vertical-throw action is designed primarily for coarse materials (2in–No.4), but adjustable incline and frequency allow use with a wide range of materials and sizes. A special low amplitude drive shaft may also be specified to improve separations in sizes finer than No.4.
The unit can be operated with either one or two Inclined Screen Trays (purchased separately). The screening area is a generous 16x24in (406x610mm) in each tray. Trays are vibrated in an inclined position with an angle adjustable from 4°–10°, and the vibration speed is digitally controlled speed up to 650 cycles per minute. The CF-1 is powered by a 1/2hp, fan-cooled, totally enclosed motor and operates on 115V, 60Hz or 230V, 50Hz (depending on the model).
Inclined Screen Trays are available with stainless steel wire cloth in ASTM E11 sizes from 4in–No.100 (100mm–150µm) or special wire cloth. Discharge pans are available with either inclined front or bottom chute. The trays are secured by clamp rods on top of the unit.
The Continuous-Flow screen is not recommended for testing applications. The versatile machine may be adapted for some testing work by setting at the lowest incline angle and replacing Inclined Screen Trays and pan with Screen Trays used with the Gilson Testing Screen or Test-Master®Testing Screens.
