Marshall Compactor, Automatic, Rotating Base, Double 4in Molds compact two 4in (102mm) asphalt specimens simultaneously in rotating-base molds. Tapered-foot hammers and rotating base plates produce a consistent kneading action during compaction. Molds rest on steel plates covering the large ASTM-compliant oak pedestal during compaction. A powerful motor operates the hammer and rotation, and the automatic counter automatically shuts off operation at the required number of blows. The compactor includes the counter, oak pedestal, two 10lb (4.54kg) tapered-foot hammers, a package of paper discs, and two 4in mold, base, and collar assemblies.
