Durability Index measures the relative resistance of aggregates to producing clay-like fines when mechanically agitated in a special washing vessel. The fines resulting from the agitation of material is evaluated further using an SEA-100 Sand Equivalent Test Set and sand equivalent shaker, both listed separately.
The versatile Gilson Durability Index Agitator runs at 285cpm, and may also be used as a sieve shaker for up to six full-height 8in or 200mm diameter sieves and pan. Holes are provided for securing flanges to the floor or a benchtop.
An 8x9.5in (203x241mm),Dia.xH Stainless Steel Washing Vessel (sold separately) is required to perform the Durability Index test.
SS-18F runs on 230V, 50Hz and is shipped without an electrical plug.
