Ohaus Moisture Analyzers quickly and accurately measure the moisture content of soils, aggregates, and virtually any other substances from the difference in weight before and after drying. Samples are weighed then quickly heated with the halogen dryer unit until the moisture vaporizes. Upon completion of drying, results are displayed as % moisture content, % solids, weight or % regain with 0.01% accuracy. Mechanical keys provide fast, intuitive operation and a built-in level ensures uniform heating. Compact, chemically resistant construction stands up to daily laboratory and field use.
OB-43 Ohaus MB27 Moisture Analyzer has a 90g (3.17oz) capacity, a temperature range of 122°–320°F (50°–160°C) in 5°C increments, and repeatability is 0.2% (3g sample) and 0.05% (10g sample). Throughout the drying process, the backlit LCD display shows the current temperature, time, and percent moisture, solids, or weight. Upon test completion, the moisture or solids content of the sample is displayed. The RS232 port provides data transfer to a PC or the OBA-44 Portable Printer.
OB-45M Ohaus MB120 Moisture Analyzer has a 120g (4.23oz) capacity, a temperature range of 104°–446°F (40°–230°C) in 1°C increments, and repeatability is 0.05% (3g sample) and 0.015% (10g sample). The full-color 4.3in touchscreen has intuitive, icon-driven navigation for simple operation and offers 14 language options for all display screens. Five displays are available throughout the drying process showing moisture, solids, or regain content. Additional displayed information includes the test method name, temperature/time, actual temperature, elapsed time, test duration, moisture, and curve. Two USB and a RS232 port allow simultaneous connections to a PC, USB drive, and the optional OBA-44 Portable Printer. Drying time is selectable and includes manual, timed, and an AutoFree mode based on a mean weight or percentage loss per unit of time. Four drying profiles maximize accuracy: standard, fast, ramp, and step. The built-in library can store 100 test methods with setup parameters and results for the statistical analysis of measurements. Additional data can be imported from a USB drive. Test data and an all-system data backup can be saved directly to a USB drive. Three levels of user management ensure data integrity. A battery backup protects data in the event of a power outage. A stainless steel drying pan and easily removable heating chamber components allow quick cleaning with no tools required.
