Relative Density Mold Sets are used with HM-319 Relative Density Gauge Set in a computing volume change of granular soils. The molds are made of cast aluminum and equipped with carrying handles and guide brackets, and come complete with detachable guide sleeve with clamp assembly, surcharge base plate with removable handle, and surcharge weight with a handle.
HM-317 Set has a 0.1ft³ (3L) capacity and 6in (152.4mm) ID x 6.112in (155.2mm) IH; surcharge weight plus base plate has 56.5 ±0.5lb (25.5 ±0.2kg) total weight.
HM-318 Model has a 0.5ft³ (14L) capacity, and 11in (279.4mm) ID x 9.092in (230.9mm) IH with 190 ±2lb (86.2 ±0.9kg) total weight of base plate with surcharge weight.
