Shelby Tube Permeameter is used to perform constant or falling head hydraulic conductivity tests on undisturbed soil samples in sections of 2, 2.5, or 3in (50.8, 63.5, or 76.2mm) diameter Shelby sampling tubes.
The corrosion-resistant aluminum top and base secure the Shelby tube section vertically using the three threaded tie rods with clamping nuts. Shelby tube sample heights between 2in (51mm) and 6in (152mm) can be performed using the 2, 2.5, and 3in diameter permeameters. The top cap is concave and includes a bleed-off valve to allow for the deairing of the sample.
Each Shelby Tube Permeameter includes an anodized aluminum top and base, inlet and outlet valves, bleed-off valve, two porous stones, O-Rings, three threaded tie rods with clamping nuts, and 10ft (3.0m) of 1/4in ID tubing.
HM-81 is used for testing the permeability of undisturbed soil samples in 3in (76mm) diameter Shelby tubes.
HM-95 is used for testing the permeability of undisturbed soil samples in 2.5in (63.5mm) diameter Shelby tubes
HM-92 is used for testing the permeability of undisturbed soil samples in 2.0in (50.8mm) diameter Shelby tubes
Features:
- Corrosion-resistant, anodized aluminum components
- The concave top plate allows for de-airing
- Designed to maintain the structure and integrity of the sample
Included Items:
- Shelby Tube Permeameter
- (2) Porous Stones
- (2) O-Rings
