Ro-Tap Sieve Shakers is a sieving machine that is widely accepted in standardized particle sizing test methods. The Ro-Tap combines a rate of 278 oscillations and 150 taps per minute, as specified in some ASTM and other sieving applications. The horizontal, circular action applied to the sieves, combined with the vertical tapping of the hammer, allows materials to separate and “seek” critical openings in the sieves. This two-dimensional operation ensures accurate and consistent particle analysis testing results.
This sieve shaker eliminates the need for hand sieving, saving the operator valuable time that can be spent elsewhere in the lab. Using this shaker decreases the amount of time spent on each analysis, allowing the operator to perform more tests and analyze more results in less time. Many sieving operations can be completed in less than 15 minutes.
These rugged test sieve shakers are built for heavy-duty use and can be bolted to a solid table or sturdy benchtops for stable operation. All models feature a powerful 1/4hp motor for performing consistent particle analysis testing, an adjustable-plate sieve support, and a built-in 99min digital timer that is accurate to 0.1 second.
SS-30 8in Ro-Tap Sieve Shaker holds up to six full-height 8in or 200mm diameter test sieves with full-height pan or 13 half-height sieves with a half-height pan. Recommended for the separation of particle sizes ranging from No.4–No.635 (4.75mm–20µm).
SS-31 12in Ro-Tap Sieve Shaker holds up to four full-height 12in or 300mm diameter test sieves and pan, six intermediate-height sieves and pan, or eight half-height sieves and pan. 12in sieves have more than twice the effective sieving area as 8in sieves. Recommended for separations of particle sizes ranging from 1/2in–No.500 (12.5mm–25µm).
SS-33 8in Duo Ro-Tap ll Sieve Shaker performs two 8in or 200mm diameter sieve tests simultaneously with precisely the same action as Ro-Tap single-stack models. Recommended for separations of particle sizes ranging from No.4–No.635 (4.75mm–20µm).
