6in (152mm) Soil Density Mold Components consist of a split or solid mold body, base, and collar used in Proctor Compaction & Density Testing. Each component is constructed of rugged heavy steel and plated with clear zinc to resist rust. Each product is available individually or together in a 6in Soil Density Mold Set.
HMA-116M 6in Soil Density Mold Only is a one-piece solid unit. It has a 4.584in (116.4mm) height and 6.0in ID with 0.0750ft³ (2,124cm³) volume.
HMA-117M 6in Soil Density Split Mold Only has the same dimensions as the solid mold but separates longitudinally for fast, easy sample removal. Clamps shut to specified volume with swivel bolts and wing nuts.
HMA-116C 6in Collar Only fits on top of mold during compaction. This detachable extension collar is interchangeable with all Gilson 6in Compaction Molds, eliminating the need to have one collar for every 6in mold.
HMA-116B 6in Base Only secures molds and collars with threaded posts and wingnuts during testing.
