Bottom Sieve Inserts are used with the Fritsch Cross Beater Mill to determine the final fineness, which is 120µm–10mm depending on the material and the sieve insert. Trapezoidal openings from 120µm–10mm or round openings from 3–10mm are available. Trapezoidal sieve inserts are used for faster milling with medium-hard to soft materials, while round inserts are ideal for brittle materials of medium fineness with uniform material size.
In general, the finer the desired final fineness, the smaller the perforations should be. Larger openings result in faster throughput and less wear. All bottom sieve inserts are constructed of durable stainless steel 316L.
