CBR Mold Set Components for use in CBR Testing are available individually as the Compaction Mold body, Compaction Collar, and Base. Each component is made of heavy steel, zinc-plated for rust resistance, and meets ASTM test standards. The complete mold set is available as BRA-60 California Bearing Ratio Mold Set. The set and components can be used with Soil Compaction Hammers or with the HM-530 Mechanical Soil Compactor.
BRA-60M Compaction Mold Only is 6x7in (152x178mm) I.D. x H with slotted tabs for securing to threaded rods of the base.
BRA-60C Compaction Mold Collar Only is 2in (51mm) tall and fits on top of the mold to facilitate filling and compaction. It is interchangeable with the CBR or LBR molds, eliminating the need for one extension collar per mold.
BRA-60B Compaction Mold Base Only secures the mold during compaction and is fitted with threaded upright rods and wing nuts. The base is perforated as required by ASTM D1883.
