HMA-836 Permeability Compaction Hammer is equipped with a sliding weight and a 2in (51mm) tamping foot. It has a 4–8in (102–203mm) adjustable drop height. The hammer easily compacts remolded soils samples for use with ASTM/AASHTO Constant Head Permeameters in accordance with ASTM D2434 standards. Included with the HMA-836 is a 100g (0.22lb) and 1kg (2.2lb) weight.

Q: Will this work with fan-forced heaters?

I'm very satisfied with this product. It was exactly what I wanted in my travel trailer, for a lot more accurate heating. Now I can pinpoint it to exactly the temperature I want, instead of guessing, sliding the conventional thermostat back and forth. Will for sure save on propane too! Nice back light when adjusting the temperature, making it easy to see even at night.
