Grinding Set is used with the Fritsch Vibrating Cup Mill to grind sample material. Each set consists of a ring and puck, which grind the sample with extremely high pressure, impact forces, and friction. Grinding Sets are placed on the guide rail of the mill and easily moved into the final position. Using a one-hand lever, the set is properly tensioned in seconds.
Note that the grinding set material must always be harder than the material to be ground.
FTA-400 is made of hardened stainless steel, has a 50mL volume, and is suitable for brittle, hard samples.
FTA-401 is made of hardened stainless steel, has a 100mL volume, and is suitable for brittle, hard samples.
