LC-8 Mini Jaw Crusher has 2x2in (50.8x50.8mm) feed opening for crushing 1in (25.4mm) and smaller feed material to 0.0625in (1.6mm) and finer at up to 20lbs (9kg) per hour. It performs well in crushing small quantities of materials with varying levels of hardness such as hard quartz to soft claystone. The unit comes standard with hardened steel alloy jaw and cheek plates. For special applications, order LCA-46 Ceramic Jaw/Cheek Plate Set (89.5% alumina) to avoid iron contamination. LCA-47 Tungsten Carbide Jaw/Cheek Plate Set (with 6% cobalt binder) is the hardest of all three wear surface options for extra-tough jobs. Sets are interchangeable and adjust in the opening by turning the handwheel to produce a product from 0.25in (6.35mm) to 0.0625in (1.6mm) in size. Samples can be caught on separate trays to avoid cross-contamination.
Construction of the crusher features a case-hardened alloy steel eccentric shaft running in heavy-duty sealed needle bearings. The crusher is belt-driven by a 1/4hp motor with overload and On/Off switches, all mounted on a steel base with rubber feet for freestanding operation. Samples are collected in a stainless steel tray.
