MAA-163 Portable Wind Vane Mount allows the MA-317 Kestrel® 5200 Professional Environmental Meter to continuously measure wind speed and direction. The mount consists of a one-piece boom, a large wind vane, and a precision pivot that keeps the Meter oriented into the wind. The Mount is compatible with ¼-20 thread fittings, allowing the use of an extension pole for wind or air flow readings. The included carrying pouch has an internal pocket to secure the Meter during transport. Securely mounts to MAA-162 Mini Tripod or other mounts with a ¼-20 fitting.
