LA Abrasion Abrasive Charge Balls are for use with the HM-70A Los Angeles Abrasion Machine when conducting the Los Angeles (LA) Abrasion Test – a widely-used indicator of aggregate quality. Abrasion Charge Balls are hardened steel and used in testing to measure degradation of standard gradings of aggregates when subjected to abrasion and impact. Ball diameter is 46-48mm (1.8-1.9in). Available in a set of 12. Ordering additional ball sets is recommended for increased sample preparation efficiency.
