Shear Box Counterbalance supports the top half of the Direct Shear Box to assure its weight will be less than 1% of the applied normal force, as required in ASTM test specifications. The counterbalance can be used with Gilson round or square Shear Boxes.
HMA-739 is for use with shear boxes with an area of 4.75in² (3,075mm²) and smaller.
HMA-739B is for use with shear boxes with an area of 4.80in² (3,100mm²) and larger.
