Soil Resistance Meters are required for soil resistivity testing with the HM-940 Soil Resistivity Kit to determine the average resistivity of the soil to a depth equal to the spacing between electrodes. The soil resistivity meters are available with analog or digital features, and both include a NIST Traceable Certificate of Calibration.
HM-942 Analog Soil Resistance Meter provides soil resistance values to be read directly from the analog dial without performing additional calculations. The wide-range, high-sensitivity soil resistivity meter has a large dial for easy readability and eight ranges from 0.01 ohms to 1.1 megaohms. It operates on C-cell alkaline batteries.
HM-944 Digital Soil Resistivity Meter selects the range and adjusts dials automatically. It features an instant resistance reading at the push of a button on a high-resolution digital display. It has a total range from 0.01 Ohms to 10 megaohms. The included ProCP Soil Resistivity Software allows optional data logging via wireless connectivity to a PC or Android device (not included). Logged readings can be automatically dated and time-stamped with positioning when integrated with GPS features from the user’s handheld device. Powered by D-cell replaceable alkaline batteries. Can perform 10,000 single readings on a new set of batteries.
The meters are encased in lightweight, rugged, weatherproof IP67-rated plastic.
