Fritsch Standard Universal Cutting Mill (100–120V, 50/60Hz)

Fritsch Universal Cutting Mills reduce material size with variable rotational speed of 300–3,000rpm and are ideal for cutting soft to medium-hard and fibrous materials. These reliable mills are suitable for plastics, textiles, agriculture, construction materials, and food products, and permit higher starting material size and throughput.

Sample materials are reduced by the rotor and fixed knives, which produce a cutting action similar to a pair of scissors. Material is continuously moved during cutting and remains in the chamber until passing through the chosen sieve insert and into a collecting vessel. All functions, including the on/off switch and plus/minus buttons to adjust rotational speed, are accessible on the instrument’s front panel.

FT-19 is a standard size mill with a max feed size of 70x80mm and max throughput of 60L/h, depending on the material, funnel, and sieve size. Final fineness is 0.1–20mm depending on material and sieve insert.

Large Universal Cutting Mills are also available, which offer a larger maximum feed size and faster throughput.

A cutting tool set, funnel, sieve insert, and collection vessel are required to operate the mill, each purchased separately. Cutting tool sets consist of a rotor and fixed knives and are available with a V-cutting edge, notched edge, or straight edge. Sieve inserts are available with trapezoidal or square perforations in sizes from 0.2–10mm.
